What is Travature?
Travature is a simple, yet powerful, community platform that integrates travel information. Our goal is to help travelers by taking the headache out of trip planning and travel research. As avid travelers, we were tired of sifting through dozens of websites to find relevant travel information. We believe, that all of us could use a more efficient way to connect and aggregate travel information. What's more we believe that travel information should be trustworthy and unbiased, something beyond the usual company agenda of trying to sell you something. A travel site built for and around the travel community.
We are setting out to answer a simple question: where can you go to find reliable travel information? You see whether your traveling 5 or 5,000 miles, visiting a new place can be both an exciting and daunting task. Where should you go? How much will it cost? What will it look like? Where should you stay? What can you do there? Where's the best place to eat? The list of questions while traveling goes on and on. Travature is building a platform to help. We want you to spend your time exploring your destination, not stuck exploring the web.

What does Travature not do?
Travature does NOT sell you anything. Our goal is to find the best travel information, so you can make the best decisions for your travels. We search websites for the best fares on air, hotels, and car rentals; we do not book and sell those fares. We find great travel deals, where people can collectively determine the value of deals, you wont find editors at Travature who only post deals to make someone money. We have travel guides so you can learn from other; we are not trying to sell you on a destination like a travel agent. And we have restaurant and hotel reviews, so you know which places to go to and which to avoid. All of this is an important distinction, because as a travel information company, we can provide an environment that's free of sales gimmicks.
Where is Travature located?
You may be surprised to hear that Travature is not headquartered in a Silicon Valley bubbletown, but instead found on the sunny shores of Southern California. We are a lifestyle company, so naturally we picked a place that helps inspire that lifestyle. We call San Diego our home.
What does Travature mean?
Travature is a mashup of the words travel and adventure. A mentality that says: Spin a globe, put your finger down, wonder whats there. It may seem a little clich, but we think the world is worth exploring. Have fun and start looking at your options, you may be going on a business trip, a quick weekend rendezvous, or you may be embarking on the journey of your life, but either way were here to help.
